Cliff Ward is a Cambridge-based singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and recording artist whose work sits comfortably between folk, indie, and classic songwriting. Known for his melodic sensibility and expressive guitar playing, Cliff performs across a range of projects, from intimate acoustic shows to high-energy duo and band performances.

A core member of the acclaimed folk band The Willows, Cliff has performed at major festivals including Glastonbury Festival and has appeared on BBC Radio 2 Bob Harris Show, earning a reputation for thoughtful songwriting and compelling live performances. Alongside his band work, Cliff continues to write and record original material, drawing influence from across the folk and songwriter traditions.

Cliff also performs as one half of a brother-and-sister duo with his sister Prue. Blending soaring violin lines with intricate acoustic guitar and close musical connection, their duo performances offer a more intimate take on Cliff’s songwriting, rooted in shared history and a lifelong musical bond.

In addition to his original projects, Cliff is part of Ward & Webb, a rock-leaning duo with Chris Webb, delivering energetic, crowd-pleasing sets of classic songs spanning Bob Dylan to Nirvana. Ward & Webb are available for pub gigs, events, and private functions, offering a lively and professional live experience.
New for 2026, Cliff is building a new band project, with releases and live performances planned for later in the year. Further details will be announced soon.

Alongside performing and recording, Cliff is an experienced guitar teacher and mentor, sharing his passion for music through education as well as the stage.
