I teach the Classical and Electric guitar and offer a well structured and personalised plan to your learning whilst keeping lessons fun and engaging. I teach students from the ages of 5 through to adults and mostly teach children between 6 to 15. I am fully DBS checked and keep up to date with all safeguarding.

 

I teach the ABRSM, Trinity and Rockschool syllabus' if you want to do your gradings.

 

My speciality is teaching you to read music and learn good technique so that you can become a well rounded and independent musician. If you can understand the notes and know what you are playing on the guitar you will be much better equipped. If you can read music and speak the language then you will be able to communicate and understand any musician at any level and it will provide you with a life time of pleasure and learning.

For some, reading music can be very hard and so it is not always the best way. Music is very personal and always needs a personalised approach. If reading is tough for you there are other ways to learn and I am more than happy to help you. I often use a combination of guitar tabs and notation and can always teach by ear and visual repetition. 

 

My zoom lessons are great for all aspects of learning. I have a full HD camera with great sounding mics and I can show great close ups of me playing. I can screen share music, videos and i have a full catalogue of online resources in the student portal that is available to all students.
